Description
It’s been a number of years since big smoke belching beasts came out of Schenectady, but they are still working hard in this program!
While the American Locomotive Company, ALCo, turned out a lot of diesels, many railfans think the Century 420 was the best of the best. In 1998, two railroads rostered sizable fleets of C420s: Arizona’s Apache, and Arkansas’ Arkansas & Missouri.
We’ll visit both railroads and see what these diesels were built for: lugging freight. Both railroads keep their old-timers in in immaculate condition.
