You are invited to come and join us for a unique day’s adventure utilising some of Sydney’s oldest collection of transport heritage vehicles. Our tour will depart at 9.00am from the Sydney Bus Museum at Leichhardt in David Griffith’s wonderfully restored red and ream liveried 1937 vintage Leyland TD4 Double Decker Bus No. 1597. Passengers will also be picked up at the Railway Square Bus Stop before proceeding to the Sydney Tramway Museum at Loftus. We will join in with the Museum’s Heritage Tram Day with the opportunity to ride in some of Sydney’s oldest Trams. The classes of trams expected to run throughout the day include the C, F, J, N, and O class travelling on the Sutherland and The Royal National Park lines.
Inspect the static exhibits in the Museum featuring the recent restoration to operating status of the Tramways Freight Car 24S.
Learn about the plans for future restorations and check out current activity in the workshop.
A sausage sizzle lunch is included in the days activities
Our return will depart the Museum at 4.00pm.
