Just Australian Buses 2 looks at major Australian capital cities from the 1970s to the 1990s using still photography, cine film and analogue video footage.
The seven chapters begin with movie filmed, by the late Peter Vasey featuring Sydney Daimlers, Albions, Leyland OPD1 and other government buses.
Footage of Greg Travers follows on with a video tour through Sydney’s Chullora Bus Workshops and Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
We journey to Melbourne and see government and private buses in various suburban locations.
Canberra follows with a review of the bus shortage period of the 1970s.
We see Brisbane in 1973, then the monorail and buses at EXPO’88.
Adelaide is visited in 1972 with later visits to 1992.
Finally we visit Perth in 1974, 1975 and 1976.
Digitised film has been partly dubbed with sound and combined with later analogue video and Hi-8 video footage. Where natural sound was not available music has been added.
