ARHS Fundraising Appeal
Our current position has been achieved through the commitment of people like you – our members and volunteers. Our reputation and collection are second-to- none and we extend our thanks to all that have been involved.
Program Goals & Evaluation
Our new building at 5 Henderson Road, Alexandria will be completed in the first half of 2020 and will be the home of
- The Railway Bookshop
- The Railway Archive (temperature controlled and fire safe)
- Museum of Railway History
- Railway History Exhibition and Gallery space
- Facility for archival recording, conservation and digitisation
- ARHSnsw Administration
- ARHSnsw Volunteer program
This new home will feature our rich railway history, demonstrating to visitors the transformative effect railways have had on the development of Australia and the important role they continue to play.
This new facility will also need some capital to keep displays and exhibitions fresh and to take advantage of technological innovation in the way information is presented to the public, ensuring an engaging and interesting experience. Technology will also help us manage, preserve and showcase our collection as it continues to grow.
Our initial fund-raising goal is to raise
- $150,000 within 3 months
- $500,000 within 12 months
- $1,000,000 within 24 months
Donations and fund-raising will then continue on an ongoing basis.
We thank all our past and current members for their generosity to date, and now ask for you to continue your support and help build our legacy for generations to come.
What do we need from you?
This is now your opportunity to be part of something big and help us present railway history to the broader public. This can be done making a donation. Alternatively, you can call the office on 02 9699 4595.
