The Railway Luncheon Club (Sydney) conducts outings on the third Wednesday of selected months. Visits are made to railway stations and other railway locations usually within the greater Sydney area, followed by lunch at a nearby venue. Once per year there is a 2 day, i.e. overnight, venture further afield. Being conducted mid-week, the Railway Luncheon Club is particularly aimed at those members who may wish to go on shorter tours and/or just meet over lunch with those of similar interests. Generally public transport is used and informative field notes provided. There are no outings in hotter months of January, February and December.
Members of the Australian Railway Historical Society and their guests are welcome to attend the outings. Details of future events will be published on this website and in the ARHS Members' Newsletter each month. The outings are an informal affair and there is no need to book for day outings, just turn up. However, bookings are essential on 2-day outings.
The Luncheon Club outings are complimentary to the general ARHS tours program.
