In the last 10 years, CADECO have produced 9 books of superb steam train photos, taken by Aussies with an insatiable appetite for recording steam trains in Australia and beyond. Originally “Northern Exposures” was to showcase the latter days of steam on the “Short North” between Gosford and Newcastle in NSW. The first book was so popular that we kept going, culminating in “Where There’s Smoke” Parts 1 & 2, our most brilliant photographic essays of world steam, together with several NSW steam books.

Book publishing is an addictive hobby, and as the dust settled, Arnie   ( Malcolm Holdsworth, and Rags (Robert Kingsford Smith) kept looking at their collections and that of good friend George Bambery who has passed away and decided that one last flourish was in order. The result is “Late Light” and “Last Light” two books divided into three, one section for each of these superb photographers.

Supplemented with sections from Paul Hogan, Pete Skelton, John Gaydon, Graeme Hind, Mike Tyack, and Mark Lanham, the books are 168 pages in full colour, featuring photos of steam trains from around the globe. Expected for release in March 2025. Pre-orders at a discounted price now available.
