Story by Richard K Butcher
Author Richard Butcher served at the Eveleigh Railway Workshops over six decades ago as a Blacksmith regarded as the prince of trades; and from 1956 devoted himself to the legacy of the great railway workshops, the place where once we could build near anything, from Main line steam locomotives, an odd diesel or two, at Carriage Works carriages, sleeping cars, the Silver City Comet, airconditioned carriages, TAFE cars, special trains, the Zoo train and more, and maintain all items.
56 pages, black & white and colour photographs included.
