A Trackside Journey continues with the three-volume DVD series A Rail Indulgence. This series showcases the vibrant world of rail freight in Australia, highlighting a diverse range of locomotive colors and ownerships that transport bulk grain, general freight, and work train duties.
Much of today’s privately owned locomotive fleets stem from former government railways. A Rail Indulgence presents a video collage of train operations across South-Eastern Australia. Notably, it features El Zorro’s bulk grain services in Victoria, as well as visits to Cootamundra and Harden Signal Boxes in NSW before their closure in mid-2007. The series also captures movements from other operators, including QR National, Pacific National, and GWA.
Andrew McBain Production, 2008. Run time 100 mins.
