Union Pacific’s Canyon Subdivision

Travel to the Feather River Canyon and see this historic line through the Sierra Nevada Mountains between Oroville and Portola, California. Shot in the spring and summer of 1009, this DVD presents many highlights of the canyon including: Pulga, Serpentine Canyon, Williams Loop, Clio Trestle and the famous Keddie Wye. Watch the legendary “Broncos” escorting trains through the rain in high-risk areas prone to rock slides. Visit the Quincy Railroad and ride in the cab of their EMD SW7 engine #12. Enjoy a visit to the Western Pacific Railroad Museum where the WP lives! Also witness Union Pacific’s vintage steam locomotive #844 making a special trip over the Feather River route, marking the centennial of this famed Western Pacific line.
