Description

In 1980, the struggling Milwaukee Road shed miles of non-profitable lines, but its Northern Division in Wisconsin held on. Covering 147 miles from North Milwaukee to Horicon, and branching to Oshkosh, Cambria, and Markesan, this division was on the brink of abandonment until the Wisconsin & Southern Railway (WSOR) was born on April 29, 1980, thanks to local support.

This volume focuses on WSOR’s Northern Division, including the Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Mayville, Cambria, Markesan, and Plymouth Subdivisions. Featuring the WSOR’s MP-15s, GP-38s, and SD40-2s in their red and silver paint, plus newly acquired BNSF and Nationals de Mexico units, you’ll also see an inspection train with the WSOR’s E-9s.

From farm fields to Milwaukee’s city bustle, experience the vibrant Wisconsin & Southern Railway at work across America’s Dairyland!
